Nuclear Experiment Project Engineer

Jim Nash is currently part of the Experiments and R&D Programs Group at the High Flux Isotope Reactor (HFIR). In this role he supports a variety of reactor experiments including isotope production and materials research. Mr. Nash also leads research efforts at ORNL related to the widely used medical radioisotope Molybdenum-99, supporting development of a domestic supply.

Prior to joining ORNL in 2020, Mr. Nash had over 15 years of experience working at the Naval Nuclear Laboratory supporting irradiated materials testing of core cladding and fuel materials. Mr. Nash has a MS in Materials Science Engineering from the Ohio State University and a BS in Physics from Otterbein University.
