Distinguished R&D Staff and Section Head, Proliferation Detection and Deterrence Section

Dr. Jennifer Ladd-Lively is a distinguished R&D staff member and the Proliferation Detection and Deterrence Section Head in the Nuclear Nonproliferation Division at Oak Ridge National Laboratory. She has been at ORNL since 2004. Jennifer received her B.S. in chemical engineering from Tennessee Technological University in 2002 and a M.S. and Ph.D. in chemical engineering from the University of Tennessee in 2004 and 2013, respectively. Jennifer is the ORNL point of contact for the NNSA Office of Defense Nuclear Nonproliferation Research and Development (DNN R&D), National Technical Nuclear Forensics Center (NTNFC) of the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Countering Weapons of Mass Destruction (CWMD) Office, and the Department of Energy (DOE) Office of Nuclear Energy Nuclear Energy Emerging Technologies (NEET) Advanced Sensors and Instrumentation (ASI) Program. She has uranium processing experience and has worked in most areas of the nuclear fuel cycle. Additionally, she has coordinated and implemented large-scale, multi-laboratory projects and field campaigns. Jennifer served three years (2010–2013) as technical advisor for the Signatures and Observables program of DNN R&D in Washington, DC.
