Bio
Hevar is a Postdoctoral Research Associate at ORNL. He previously completed two summer internships in 2023 and 2024. Hevar earned his Ph.D. in Civil Engineering from the University of Illinois Chicago (UIC), where his research focused on enhancing the hygrothermal performance of building envelope systems and evaluating the effects of aging on their performance. He holds a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering Iraqi Kurdistan, where he graduated as the top-ranked student. He later completed his Master of Science in Civil Engineering at Lawrence Technological University in Michigan. From 2019 to 2021, Hevar was a grantee of the Fulbright Student Program.
