Bio

Fuxiang Zhang obtained his Ph.D. in condensed-matter physics from Chinese Academy of Sciences. He has a long research experience with X-ray /neutron diffraction, scattering and optical spectroscopy techniques in studying phase transformation and structure of various materials at extreme conditions, including high-pressure and ion irradiation. He is the author/coauthor of ~120 peer-reviewed journal papers and reviewer for more than 30 journals in the field of Physics, Chemistry, Materials Science and Mineralogy.

He is now working for EDDE-an Energy Frontier Research Center and one FWP project at ORNL with X-ray and neutron techniques to study the local structure of solid-solution alloys and ceramics.
