Dave Kelbe

Bio

Dr. Kelbe is a Postdoctoral Research Associate in the Geographic Information Science and Technology group at the Oak Ridge National Laboratory (ORNL). Dr. Kelbe's background in imaging science combines insight from fundamental science with an in-depth technical understanding of sensing systems to deliver practical solutions to real-world problems. Currently, he leads an advanced R&D effort leveraging photogrammetry and high-performance computing to reconstruct the world in 3D from multi-view satellite and airborne imagery. 

Dr. Kelbe received his BS in Imaging Science from Rochester Institute of Technology in 2010 and his PhD in Imaging Science from Rochester Institute of Technology (2015) as a National Science Foundation Graduate Research Fellow. For novel technical contributions to imaging science, he was awarded the 2016 Doctoral Dissertation of the Year.
