R&D Staff

Chris Fancher is a research and development associate in the materials science and technology division. His current scientific interests are in the field of materials science, crystallography, and data science; in particular in developing structure-property relationships through in situ studies to determine how atoms displace in response to dynamic stresses (e.g. electric fields), and the development of novel structure analysis methods using Bayesian inference. He received his PhD in material science and engineering from the Purdue University. Prior to joining MSTD, he held a postdoctoral research appointment in the neutron scattering directorate and previously the Jacob Jones' research group at North Carolina State University.
