Brett C Bass

Brett Bass received his Ph.D. in Data Science and Engineering from The University of Tennessee, Knoxville, in 2021. Prior, he received a M.S. in Renewable Systems Engineering and B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Dayton. Brett played collegiate football for the Dayton Flyers during his time as an undergraduate. After his undergraduate degree, Brett worked for Emerson Climate Technologies developing machine learning algorithms for evaluating health and performance of marine cargo containers. Brett's dissertation covered large scale building energy modeling with a focus on climate impact. Brett has continued to research large scale building energy modeling as full time staff at ORNL.
