Developing technical solutions for isotope separations, system diagnostics and national security
The Dynamic Systems Analysis (DSA) Group researches and deploys unique technical solutions involving system modeling, development, and testing that support isotope separation, system diagnostics, and national security. The DSA group has significant expertise in the areas of modeling and design of mechanical, thermal and electromagnetic systems; design, fabrication, and deployment of high-performance data acquisition systems; dynamic testing of mechanical systems; test support and data analysis; and machinery monitoring and diagnostics. DSA group researchers have a long and successful history of innovation and accomplishment in the design and analysis of high-speed rotating equipment and also with the design and development of the instrumentation and data acquisition systems used in the testing and operation of this equipment. This expertise and experience allow the DSA Group to play a key role in the isotope separation programs at ORNL.
