September 26, 2017 - 8:00am to September 28, 2017 - 12:00pm

Abstract

The SCALE code system is a widely used modeling and simulation suite for nuclear safety analysis and design that is developed and maintained by ORNL and deployed to 8,000 users in 58 nations. SCALE provides a comprehensive, verified and validated, user-friendly tool set for criticality safety, radiation shielding, reactor physics, spent fuel characterization, and sensitivity and uncertainty analysis. The workshop will provide a highly interactive forum for a fruitful exchange between SCALE users and developers and will include a mix of short presentations, open discussions, and tutorial sessions. There is no registration fee, and complimentary lunch and refreshments are provided to participants.

Additional Information

End users are invited to contribute with presentations on impactful and innovative applications of SCALE.

All ORNL employees interested in attending are welcome to register their participation on the meeting website (scale2017.ornl.gov) by September 8.
