Dynamics of Health-Related Proteins: from Heart to HIV

Dynamics of Health-Related Proteins: from Heart to HIV

Presenter

  • Nikolai Smolin, Loyola University, Chicago, Illinois
October 2, 2017 - 11:00am to 12:30pm

Abstract

The speaker will discuss research in which simulation of the molecular dynamics of proteins is being used to study the properties of health-related biological systems. He will present two examples: (1) results for systems that govern the contraction and relaxation of cardiac muscle and (2) results related to the restriction of HIV.
