Two-Dimensional Infrared Spectroscopy (2DIR) Tool
Phasetech 2DQuick-IR spectrometer

The Phasetech 2DQuick-IR spectrometer provides rapid scan pulse shaping techniques to collect full 2DIR spectra in minutes. 2DIR spectra report on vibrational coupling, spectral diffusion, chemical exchange, and conformational dynamics in molecular and materials systems evolving on the femtosecond to picosecond timescales, naturally complementing several neutron and x-ray based techniques. Visible optical pump-pulses can be used to excite photoactive samples in pump-probe style measurements. Several sample cells are available depending on need:

  • Static sandwich cells
  • Liquid flow cells
  • Temperature controlled cells

Applications:

  • Polymer dynamics
  • Chemical exchange and energy transfer
  • Responsive soft materials
  • Ultrafast structural dynamics

Specification:

  • 2D-MCT detector
  • IR spectral region: ~1000 cm-1 to ~3800 cm-1 depending on sample
  • 1 kHz repetition rate
  • Spectral resolution, c.a., 5 cm-1 @ 5.5 µm
  • Maximum double pulse delay, c.a., 5 ps @ 5.5 µm
  • Maximum pump-probe delay, c.a., 150 ps
