INTERNATIONAL COMMISSION ON RADIOLOGICAL PROTECTION (ICRP) Pub 66 LUNG DEPOSITION MODEL
|
The International Commission on Radiological Protection (ICRP) publishes a series of reports describing the deposition of airborne radionuclides to the respiratory tract of workers for the purpose of calculating radiation exposure and to set forth a Lung Deposition Model that allows the derivation of percentages of radioactive material deposited in the different
regions of the lungs based on physiological and environmental factors.   This site provides access to run the Lung Deposition Model.   It also includes extensive documentation of the model and links to schematics of the model to give a visual presentation of the model.
MathML Player and SVG (Scalable Vector Graphic) Viewer are required in order to view the graphics and mathematical formulas.
