Fourth nearest-neighbour nitrogen pair in GaP
This graphic shows a localized electronic state exists even for relatively well separated nitrogen pairs in GaP. These states consequently exist even in dilute alloys, precluding the use of simplified theories that neglect these "fluctuations".
