HISTORICAL ASCII-Formatted DATA
This section contains archived meteorological data
for towers operated and formerly operated on the Oak Ridge Reservation.
Data has been collected from a variety of sources. Consequently, users
are cautioned that data formats may not be consistent with respect to a given
site or time period. The availability of data is broadly outlined
below. Online data can be accessed by clicking on the appropriate link in
the table. Some data may be available off line depending on the
circumstances. DOE or DOE-contractors requiring off line data may inquire
at birdwellkr@ornl.gov
. Data are continually being added to the online resources as quality
assurance and time permit.

METEOROLOGICAL DATA INPUT FOR ENVIRONMENTAL COMPLIANCE MODELING
Links to various ISC-ST3 and CAP-88 meteorological
data input files are given below. Currently, data are available for 2001
through 2006. Not all Oak Ridge Reservation tower sites are represented
in the archive at this time. All ISC-ST3 files are in ASCII - free form
format while CAP-88 files are in ASCII - STR format. Naming convention
format for ISC files is TYYYYHHH*.txt where T represents the tower identifier,
Y represents the year, and H represents vertical elevation in meters on the
given tower. STR files naming convention is STYYCTHHH.txt where ST
represents "Star File", Y represents the year, C represents either M
for Mainframe or P for PC, and H represents vertical elevation in meters on the
given tower.
