Dr. Femi Omitaomu is a Senior Research Scientist at the Oak Ridge National Laboratory and an Adjunct Faculty in the Department of Industrial and Systems Engineering at the University of Tennessee. He received his Ph.D. degree from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville in May 2006, his M.S. degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Lagos, Nigeria in 1999, and his B.S. degree in Mechanical Engineering from Lagos State University, Nigeria in 1995. Between 1995 and 2001, he was a project engineer with Mobil Producing Nigeria. During his Ph.D. program, he was a research assistant/teaching assistant/instructor in the Department of Industrial and Systems Engineering at the University of Tennessee. After his Ph.D., he was a post-doctoral research fellow at McMaster University, Hamilton, Canada from February to October 2006. He joined Oak Ridge National Laboratory in October 2006.
