Editing Instructions to create AM1/9541-1: Typeface design grouping


1. Add the three design groups: Minor seal, Mainland China official script and Tablet inscription. They should be classified into 2.1.3, 4.2.4 and 6.3.6 respectively. 
2. Chinese proposed figures should be attached to the following groups:

3. Add a sentence to the note in the Introduction, between the two existing sentences:  "Although non-Latin typefaces with non-plain stem endings are included in groups with "serif" in their names, it may generally be improper to refer to them as "serif" typefaces."
4. Add the following definitions at the locations where the terms appear first:
 - Fish Tail
 - sweeping tail
 - spur serif
 - story
5.  Add or change texts as follows:
	3.2.1 Blackletters::Round style::Sans Serif
	The designs of this specific group have plain stem endings.
	3.2.2 Blackletters::Round style::Serif
	The designs of this specific group have non-plain stem endings.
	3.3.1 Blackletters::Hybrid style::Sans Serif
	The designs of this specific group have plain stem endings.
	3.3.2 Blackletters::Hybrid style::Serif
	The designs of this specific group have non-plain stem endings.
	4.9.2 Serifs::Free Form::Outline
	The typefaces in this group have ornaments and styling derived from Art Nouveau styles; the shapes are outlined by contour lines of a uniform weight.
	5.7.2 Sans serifs::Free form::Outline
	The typefaces in this group have shapes which are outlined by contour lines of a uniform weight.
	6.1.3 Scripts::Joined::Monotone
	Designs in this group have strokes of uniform thickness.
	6.2.3 Scripts::Unjoined::Monotone
	Designs in this group have strokes of uniform thickness.
	7.1.1 Ornamentals::Inline::Sans Serif
	Designs in this group have a single line in the stem and plain stem endings.
	7.1.2 Ornamentals::Inline::Serif
	Designs in this group have a single line in the stem and non-plain stem endings.
6. Check the spelling of the typeface in A.93, MODERNASKH; is this one word, or two: MODERN NASKH?
7. In 5.4.0, change the description "in this group" to "in this subclass".
8. In 5.2.2, change "have greater contrast" to "have distinct contrast between thick and thin strokes".
9. In 5.2.2, change "the classical letterform proportions" to "the classic Roman Inscriptional proportions", parallel to 5.2.1; addresses Japan's comment 10. on "letterform".  Change any other remaining instance of "letterform" to "glyph image" (including, but not necessarily limited to, 5.4.7).
10. In 7.2.0 and 7.2.1, change "single weight" to "uniform weight".
11. Make editorial change or modification of the DAM text according to Japan's comments 1, 3, 4, 13, 14, and 17. through 19.
