PortSim – A Port Security Simulation and Visualization Tool
— As part of the effort to interdict the illegal import of nuclear materials into the country, detectors are being introduced at sea ports. These must be deployed in such a way as to secure our borders without adversely impacting normal commerce.

Airport Viz – A 3D Tool to Enhance Security Operations
— Airport security personnel needed an easy-to-use tool to investigate passenger checkpoint designs, baggage inspection procedures, and SIDA operations.

Modeling and Simulation Framework for Transportation
— To reduce US oil dependence, environmental impacts, and congestion, a number of alternative energy supply, distribution, and end-use transportation systems, technologies and policies are presently being explored. However, a scalable KD framework for US transportation system that addresses the interplay between energy, environment, and quality of life does not exist.
