Problem Statement:

  • Leverage video gaming technologies for serious games – training, defense, security, planning – combined with emerging Mixed Reality (MR) capabilities
  • Video games offer realistic physics, facial expressions, and lighting techniques
  • MR unites real and the virtual worlds experiences

Technical Approach:

  • Form the Mixed Reality Laboratory (MRL) comprised of:
  • Integration of virtual and real-world information forming a Mixed Reality (MR)
  • State-of-the-art realism with game engine rendering technologies
  • Integration with gaming Computational/Artificial Intelligence (AI) components for crowds
  • Scenario training modules that can be reused regardless of the game engine
  • Multiple platform operations: desktops, pads, browsers, phone
  • Integrated with a secure, high-end cloud computing environment through high-speed data I/O
  • A standards-based or de facto standard, geo-registered planetary model
  • A standards-based, human population and demographic repository
  • A common scenario training repository
