Robotics & Remote Systems Engineering and Applications


The Remote Systems Group specializes in the development and application of advanced remote handling systems, tooling, process systems, and facilities for hazardous and inaccessible environments. The group has decades of experience that originated in, and builds upon, the Manhattan Project's production and processing of nuclear material.

Activities range from fundamental research through full-scale prototyping, demonstration, and field deployment, with staff possessing particular expertise in executing high-radiation-environment operations.
