New Mapping Kit for
Human Chromosome 1

The American Type Culture Collection (ATCC), in conjunction with the Centre d'Etude du Polymorphisme Human (CEPH) and supported by the NIH National Center for Research Resources, is distributing a mapping kit (ATCC #77175) for human chromosome 1. The kit contains 16 DNA probes (15 recombinant plasmids and 1 cosmid, 5 µg DNA each) to detect a subset of ordered genetic markers from the CEPH consortium linkage map of human chromosome 1 [Genomics 9, 686-700 (1991)]. $225.
