KENO V.a Primer README file            1/28/2003

The Primer is a PDF file that has been packaged in a self-extracting zip file
with a searchable index. Note that this file is very large - almost 9 MB. 
A fast Internet connection is recommended for downloading it.

Step 1. Download
   Click on the link for the Windows or Unix version, and save it in the directory of 
   your choice on your computer.

Step 2. Install
   Windows installation: Execute the self-extracting zip file to unzip into a new 
   directory. The default directory is C:\KENO V.a Primer.

   Unix installation: 
   Unzip using the command: gunzip keno-primer.tar.gz
   Untar the tar file using the command: tar -xvf keno-primer.tar

Step 3. Load the document index
   (Note: You must have a version of Acrobat Reader with the Search option.
   If your version does not have the Search option, you can download the 
   latest version with the Search option from www.adobe.com)
   Open the file "tm2002_155.pdf" in Adobe Acrobat. Click on "Edit," "Search," "Select indexes."
   Click "Add..." and change to the directory where you unzipped the primer.
   Select the file "index.pdx" and click "OK." Make sure the "Primer index" box
   is checked.

Step 4. Search the document index.
   Click on the Search icon (binoculars with page behind them) or click
   "Edit," "Search," "Query..."
   Enter the keyword to search for and press "OK."
