SMORES The SMORES control module was developed to provide an automatic search for maximum keff of a nuclear system, or for minimum critical mass in a nuclear system. Automated preparation of a working cross-section library is performed using the BONAMI, NITAWL-III or CENTRM/PMC, and ICE functional modules of SCALE. The one-dimensional forward and adjoint transport calculations are performed using XSDRNPM. The functional module SWIF then uses the angular flux from XSDRNPM to calculate the effectiveness functions and to perform the optimization calculation. The sequence of BONAMI, NITAWL-III or CENTRM/PMC, ICE, forward XSDRNPM, adjoint XSDRNPM, and SWIF calculations are repeated if an optimization calculation for maximum keff or minimum critical mass is requested.
