Control Modules/Sequences The modular structure of SCALE allows back-to-back execution of the functional modules to perform a system analysis. However, a variety of control modules have been developed that automate and standardize various analytic sequences. The control module input format has been designed to help minimize input errors. Upon processing the user-specified input, the SCALE system control modules immediately print an input check list in which the user (or reviewer) can easily establish that the input describes the system to be analyzed. Although the control modules are typically designated by their principal analytic sequence, note that more than one sequence may exist within a control module (for example, CSAS contains four sequences: CSAS25, CSAS4, CSASI, and CSASN).
