Carbon Dioxide Removal Using Inorganic Membranes

ORNL gas separation membranes can separate carbon dioxide from flue gas streams for re-use or sequestration. These membrane are robust and corrosion resistant membranes are capable of operating under a wide range of temperatures and pressures >40 bar. ORNL composite membranes can be fabricated from a variety of materials including ceramics, metal alloys, high temperature polymer composites and zeolites in order to meet selectivity needs and stability under harsh operating conditions.
