  • The BES effort in the Materials Science and Technology Division has a 48-node, dual-processor Opteron system with a 1 TB Raid system and gigabit Ethernet communications, for use in theoretical efforts, including the Alloy Behavior and Design group.
  • We have an allocation for computer time at the National Energy Research Scientific Computing Center (NERSC), a DOE facility at Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory. Many of our simulations are performed on the Cray XT4 machine Franklin, one of the 10 most powerful computers in the world.”
