Dr. Mirzadeh is trained in physical
chemistry/radiochemistry and joined ORNL in 1993, after working as a staff scientist in
the Medical Department at the Brookhaven National Laboratory. His research interests are
in the areas medical radioisotope production and processing, alpha particle-mediated
radioimmunotherapy, encapsulation and in vivo evaluation of radioactive metal ions
in chelating agents and endohedralfullerenes, and hot atom chemistry.
