Drop Oscillations
Experiments have uncovered a hysteresis phenomenon in the large-amplitude forced oscillations of drops. Further research has shown that the presence of surfactant may have significant effects on this system, including a restriction of the oscillation amplitude and a decrease in the frequency range over which hysteretic response is exhibited.
