Overview
The Used Fuel Research, Development, and Demonstration Group is part of the Reactor and Nuclear Systems Division (RNSD) within the Nuclear Science and Engineering Directorate (NSED) of the Oak Ridge National Laboratory (ORNL). The Used Fuel Research, Development, and Demonstration Group is respons
ible for integration of nuclear design, safety and simulation activities that span multiple groups within and beyond the Reactor and Nuclear Systems Division to provide solutions to complex and challenging nuclear issues of national importance. The group is comprised predominantly of senior technical staff with substantial expertise in nuclear design, systems and safety analyses; reactor physics/technologies; storage, transport and disposal of used nuclear fuel; nuclear regulatory issues; and computational modeling and simulation methods and software development.
