Force Indicators and Transducers
The ORNL Metrology Laboratory maintains the capability to calibrate and adjust force indicators and transducers. All calibrations are performed using standards traceable to NIST. Typical types of force equipment calibrated by the ORNL Metrology Laboratory include analog and digital crane scales, dynamometers and load cells in both tension and compression modes.
The ORNL Metrology Lab provides accredited calibrations for any force parameters within the ranges detailed in our Scope of Accreditation. In addition, traceable non-accredited calibrations are available for force calibrations from a range of 1040 to 100,000 lbf.
The tables below list our accredited capabilities. See the following link Scope of Accreditation for the entire listing.
If you have questions about our force capabilities, please contact the ORNL Metrology Laboratory for additional information.
