Xiaojing Yang, Ph.D.

Xiaojing Yang was born in Henan, China in 1978. In 1996, she was admitted exempt of examination to the physics base class in Ji Lin University managed by the National Education Department. In 2000, she graduated from Ji Lin University with a B.S. degree. Her undergraduate research involved the Computer Simulation of Neural Networks.

In August 2000, she was admitted to the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill (UNC-CH). She benefited from the North Carolina Center for Nanoscale Materials during her two- year study. Xiaojing worked on the gas adsorption study of Carbon Nanotubes by Proton NMR (Nuclear Magnetic Resonance). She earned her M.S. degree in Physics in May, 2002.

Dr. Xiaojing Yang

Xiaojing worked with the Molecular-Scale Engineering and Nanoscale Technologies (MENT) group under the supervision of Dr. Michael Simpson. In May, 2005, she earned her Ph.D. in Materials Science and Engineering from the University of Tennessee.
