David Mann was born in Abbotsford, British Columbia, and received his B.S. degree in Biology at Bryan College. Currently, David is pursuing his Ph.D. in microbiology under the guidance of Tim McKnight, and he is working in the lab of Dr. Gary Sayler at the University of Tennessee. His focus is on gene delivery and molecular-scale manipulation of Saccharomyces cerevisiae using vertically aligned carbon nanofiber arrays.
