Answers to Questions on 2005 He-3 Sales Solicitation 11759NE40
Response to Bidder Questions, 2005 He-3 Sales Solicitation
Questions submitted by Michael Maher, GE Reuter Stokes
Q1) Will there is more sales of HE-3 in the future? And if so, how much and when?
Response: The question is outside the scope and terms of the solicitation, and the Department will not speculate on such matters at this time.
Q2) Are there any provisions for extending the delivery dates? Can we purchase the He-3 and take delivery in 2007?
The Department of Energy will accept bids for cylinder delivery in 2007. Cylinder deliveries after December 31, 2005 will carry a penalty of $1000 per cylinder per month in addition to the price of the cylinder unless the cylinders are prepaid by December 31, 2005. Interest for late payment of cylinders is additional to the penalty for extending deliveries beyond December 31, 2005.
