IMPORTANT NOTICE TO ISOTOPE CUSTOMERS

Dear Valued Customer,

Recently the Department of Energy's Isotope Program (DOE/NE-70) placed an announcement in the Commerce Business Daily (local copy) referring to the possible permanent production cessation at the Oak Ridge National Laboratory's calutron facility.

We believe that the Oak Ridge National Laboratory's calutron facility is a unique, national and international resource. However, it can only continue to operate and supply valued commercial and research isotopes with your support.

The announcement requests written expression of intent for those organizations planning on purchasing "significant quantities of isotopes". Specifically, the announcement request expressions of interest to commit to purchasing $1 million or more of stable isotopes over a five-year period. However, if your future interest is less than this commitment, we would still be interested in receiving notification of your specific requirements.

Please feel free to contact us with any questions or request for additional information.   isotopes@ornl.gov
