Research Experience and Interests
Mr. Palmer joined the Geographic Information Science and Technology group in May 2012. His current research responsibilities include the creation of population density tables, the expansion of the special events database, and the manual organization of satellite imagery.
While a student at Ferris State University, Mr. Palmer worked as a research assistant in the Sociology Dept. and engaged in research that explored the potential application of GIS programs in disaster situations.
Mr. Palmer is interested in the use of GIS programs in anthropological research, specifically in the field of medical anthropology.
