Research Experience and Interests
Mr. Myers joined in the Geographic Information Science and Technology group at ORNL in August 2008. He is one of the main software developers for the BioEnergy Knowledge Discovery Framework (KDF), the LandScan and LandScan USA projects, and Chemical Security Assessment Tool.
Prior to becoming a full staff member of the GIST group, Mr. Myers held a post-masters position within the same group. His experience includes web-based Geographic Information System systems, geospatial data management, and spatial data analysis and programming.
Mr. Myers’ areas of expertise include spatial programming, web-based system design and development, and data management. His technical capabilities include proficiency in a variety of programming languages, data analysis methods, database software, and open source and proprietary geographic information systems software (both desktop and web-based).
