Research Experience and Interests
Mr. Graesser joined the Geographic Information Science and Technology group at ORNL in October 2010. His current responsibilities include research on population distribution and estimation using remote sensing and GIS.
Prior to joining ORNL, Mr. Graesser worked at the U.S. Census Bureau. At the Census, he conducted research on population modeling in developing nations and remote sensing of human settlements using high resolution imagery. While at SDSU, Mr. Graesser worked at the USGS EROS Center, where he studied land cover changes using optical and radar imagery.
His research interests include remote sensing of human settlements, population distribution, spatial modeling, and impacts of biofuels on land use/land cover change.
