Research Experience and Interests
Mr. Gouge joined the Geographic Information and Technology Group in June 2011, after interning with the group during the summer of 2010. His current work includes mapping and data verification of the U.S. rail infrastructure, as well as analyzing biofuels distribution in the U.S.
While pursuing his undergraduate degree at the University of Memphis, Mr. Gouge worked at the University’s Geographic information science lab assisting other students with remote sensing and GIS work. He was also an International Studies minor, per his interest in History and Cultural Geography.
Mr. Gouge’s research interests include immigration patterns, terrorist networks, geographic information science, remote sensing, and transportation geography.
