Research Experience and Interests
Karreem Ali joined the Geographic Information Science and Technology group in January 2011 after interning over the summer of 2010. His current responsibilities include: work on determining the attributes of the rail network infrastructure, and analyzing the biofuels distribution and transportation network in the United States.
Prior to his Bachelors degree, he has worked as a civil engineering designer in Charlotte, North Carolina. His responsibilities included road design, development of CAD standards and GIS implementation within the field of civil engineering.
Karreem Ali is interested in GIS crime analysis within urban environments. He wishes to incorporate this interest in his upcoming Master’s thesis.
