FIRST Center External Advisory Board:
Dr. John R. Miller is President of JME, Inc., a service company he founded 22 years having specialization in reversible energy storage technology, particularly electrochemical capacitors. He recently accepted the part time position of Research Professor at the Great Lakes Energy Institute, Case Western Reserve University.
Dr. Royce Murray is the Kenan Professor of Chemistry at the University of North Carolina and member of the National Academy of Sciences.
Dr. Alexandra Navrotsky holds the Edward Roessler Chair in Mathematical and Physical Sciences, and is a Distinguished Interdisciplinary Professor of Ceramic, Earth and Environmental Materials Chemistry at the University of California at Davis. She is a member of the National Academy of Sciences.
Dr. William F. Schneider is concurrent Professor of Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering, and Chemistry and Biochemistry at Notre Dame University. He is a Fellow of the American Association for the Advancement of Science and holds numerous awards from his previous activities as Senior Technical Specialist and Leader of the Chemical and Materials Simulation Group at Ford Motor Company.
Dr. John J. Ullo is a private consultant after 30 years with the Schlumberger Technology Corporation as a scientist and holder of numerous senior technical management positions. Currently he serves as Schlumberger’s Technical Advisory Board member to the Advanced Energy Consortium (AEC) run under the University of Texas Bureau of Economic Geology (BEG) as well as holding a part time position with the BEG. His technical expertise lies in the areas of nanotechnologies for oil and gas exploration and production, computational physics in materials science, and geoscience evaluation methods for the oil industry.
Dr. Frederick T. Wagner is Laboratory Group Manager, Advanced Electrodes, Fuel Cell Activities, General Motors Research and Development.
