The registration desk will be located outside of Salon
DE/Sequoyah 1&2, on the Mezzanine level of the Knoxville
Hilton. The registration desk hours are: 3:00 pm to 9:00 pm on
Sunday; 7:30 am to 5:00 pm on Monday through Wednesday; and 7:30
am to 9:30 am on Thursday
Oral Sessions:
All invited presentations are allocated 25 minutes with 4
minutes for questions. All contributed presentations are allocated
15+4 minutes. Please meet with the session chair 15 minutes prior
to the start of the session to upload your presentation. All
morning oral sessions are invited and will be held in Salon ABC.
Afternoon (3 parallel) oral sessions will be held in Salon AB,
Salon C, and Sequoyah 3. To avoid software and hardware issues, we
will have a speaker-ready room where users of LCD projection can
become familiar with the equipment and try out their presentation.
Speakers may wish to bring back-up transparencies in case of
problems.
Poster Sessions:
All poster sessions will be held in Salon DE and Center BC on
the Mezzanine level of Hilton. Please see the meeting agenda and
look for correct poster number (A-xx or B-yy) on the poster
boards. Poster board size is 1.76 m wide by 1.21 m high. Velcro
will be provided. Poster session rooms will be available all day
for setting up. Please remove posters by 6:00 pm
.
Publication:
Papers will be published on CD-ROM only. All papers must
be submitted directly to the IEEE website
http://www.ieee.org/organizations/pubs/confpub/sofe05/authors/ by
September 30.
Wireless Access/E-mails:
Free wireless access is available in the Hilton Hotel lobbies,
meeting rooms, and guest rooms. Please bring your personal laptops
if you need to access the internet.

Breaks:
All breaks will be held outside the meeting rooms, near the
exhibits, on the Mezzanine level. Continental breakfast will be
served at 7:30 am with mid-morning/mid-afternoon refreshers each
day.
Welcome Reception & Banquet:
Welcome reception will be held at 6:00 to 8:30 pm on Sunday
evening in Salon C. The conference dinner/banquet will be held at
7:00 to 9:00 pm on Tuesday evening in Salon ABC.
IEEE/NPSS Fusion Technology Awards:
The award recipients for 2004 and 2005 will be announced at
the banquet on Tuesday. 2005 Award will be presented at the
banquet and 2004 Award will be presented on Wednesday
evening.
ORNL Tour - SNS & HFIR:
Advance tour registration is closed. Busses will depart from
the Hilton at 11:30 am. on Thursday, and will return to the Hilton
(and/or to the Knoxville airport) around 5:00 pm. You must wear
your conference badge at all times and must stay together as a
group.
Secret City - The Oak Ridge History:
From 1942 to 1949, Oak Ridge a city of 75,000 people did not
exist on any map. A documentary film that tells the early
history of Oak Ridge, TN will be shown. Check for specific show
time and location.
