HTS Quench and Stability Studies
The facility includes a
6 Tesla, 22-cm warm bore magnet that is cryocooled to 3-4 K
with pulse tube cryocooler. Used to perform quench and
stability studies of HTS tapes and coils. An insert dewar
and separate G-M cryocoler is used to independently control
sample temperature.
