Collaborations

collaborations provide access to experiments and knowledge
that are unavailable in the US program. In the ICRF area,
ORNL has participated in collaborations with many
international laboratories.

We get
to
- use the
extensive experimental facilities of the
institution
- participate
in the experimental program of the institution
and gain knowledge from their
experience
- test
innovative concepts and/or hardware of ours on a
functioning fusion device

In return,
the international collaborator gets
to

expertise to help solve problems particular to
their experiment

use hardware that we supply
