Power Transfer Devices

The group's unique capabilities in this area relate to particular technologies focused on achieving high-power density systems. Research and development (R&D) activities include controls and implementation of conventional hydraulic actuators with size down to the microscale. Other R&D projects include unique use of novel materials, such as piezoelectric, magneto-rheological fluids, and nano-scale colloidal ferrofluids, and the development of corresponding controls methodologies. powertransfer2
