Energy Transformation Systems

Novel concepts for transforming energy, in particular for portable and micro-scale power supplies, is a major thrust area of the Robotics and Energetics Group and the Engineering Science and Technology Division. Emphasis and unique capabilities include heat storage and release systems, magnetic and fluidic engine systems, fuel cells, and hydrogen-based technologies. The group has several specialized laboratories to support experimental and demonstration activities.
