Mr. Bradley S. Richardson
Mr. Bradley S. Richardson received his B.S. in Engineering Science and Mechanics from the University of Tennessee in 1979, an M.S. in Engineering Mechanics from the Ohio State University in 1980 and his P.E. in 1990. He spent five years leading the safety analysis effort for the Centrifuge Division of the Oak Ridge Gaseous Diffusion Plant before joining the research staff at the Oak Ridge National Laboratory (ORNL). He served as the group leader of the Systems and Controls Group, within the Robotics and Process Systems Division of ORNL for eleven years and has served as the principal investigator for numerous research projects relating to his areas of interest. These interests include mobile manipulation, real-time control systems architectures, autonomous navigation, and human-robot control and interaction. He has been involved in multiple research projects dealing with remotely and autonomously operated vehicles and has implemented real-time control systems for a variety of other systems.
