Dr. Ryan Kerekes is a Reserach and Development Engineer in the Imaging, Signals, and Machine Learning (ISML) group at ORNL. His research interests include image processing, pattern recognition, machine learning, and computer vision for biomedical, defense, and national security applications. Ryan received the Ph.D. degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering at Carnegie Mellon University in 2007 under Prof. Vijayakumar Bhagavatula and Dr. Marios Savvides. His dissertation was on the use of correlation filtering techniques for improved automatic target recognition (ATR) in video sequences. While at Carnegie Mellon, Ryan was the recipient of the Northrop Grumman Graduate Research Fellowship.
