She has 25 years of experience at Oak Ridge National Laboratory in mechanics of materials and components. Proficient use of numerical methods for structural, thermal, electro-magnetic, and fracture analysis. Has experience in the use of the finite element codes ANSYS and ABAQUS, the probabilistic reliability code CARES, and the sound and vibration measurement software PULSE. She has performed analysis using ANSYS, and testing using PULSE, to assist in design and evaluation of various components. She has performed elastic-plastic and thermo-elastic finite element analyses for the design of the Spallation Neutron Source (SNS) moderator vessels, the design of Mixed Oxide (MOX) capsules for experiments at INEL, the design of Irradiation capsules for insertion into HFIR, and has performed stability calculations of fuel plates for the Advanced Neutron Source (ANS). She has performed a probabilistic analysis using ANSYS and CARES to determine the reliability of porous cordierite Diesel particulate filters when subjected to steady state and transient operating conditions.
