Federal Energy Management Program
The mission of DOE’s Federal Energy Management Program (FEMP) is to facilitate the Federal Government's implementation of sound, cost-effective energy management and investment practices to enhance the nation's energy security and environmental stewardship.
FEMP relies on ORNL and other national labs to carry out its activities and provide expert assistance to federal agencies working to meet their energy goals. The ORNL RCIEE team plays prominent roles in FEMP’s activities focused on the following:
- Financed Federal Energy Projects
- Energy Savings Performance Contracts (ESPCs)
- Utility Energy Services Contracts (UESCs)
- Technologies
- Geothermal or Ground-Source Heat Pumps (GHPs)
