Dale Pelletier is a staff scientist in the Bioscience Division at Oak Ridge National Laboratory. He received his B.S. in Biochemistry from the University of Maine in Orono, ME in 1986, his Ph.D. in Microbiology from the University of Iowa in 2000 and post-doctoral work at Stanford University in the Civil and Environmental Engineering Department on the topic of anaerobic aromatic degradation. His current research focuses on molecular analysis of plant-microbe and microbe-microbe interactions. My group applies isolation and characterization of microbes from the rhizosphere and root tissues of Populus trees with the goal of understanding mechanisms of microbial interactions and influence on host plant.
