My research interests center on the development and application of mass spectrometric methods for analysis of biopolymers, including:

High-throughput analysis of protein complexes (Center for Molecular and Cellular Systems, funded by DOE’s Genomics: GTL program)
     Complexes isolated from Rhodopseudomonas palustris
        by affinity or biochemical methods
Mass spectrometry of chemically cross-linked proteins
        and protein complexes

Analysis of nucleic acids
     PCR products
     Sequencing

Understanding MALDI
     The “plume”
     Sample preparation
